Studying in Kampala
During the first part of 2009, I studied for a semester with a group of 28 American students through the School for International Training at Makerere University in Kampala. Our interdisciplinary semester focused on Development Studies and included lectures from a variety of professors, politicians, and practitioners as well as language lessons, site visits, excursions, and independent research. I lived with an amazing host family for most of the semester and my life in the capital was very busy, fun-loving, and educational in every sense of the word.
